Born in Caracas, Venezuela.
Raised in Miami, Florida.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Inés Michelena is a filmmaker whose work focuses on the immigrant experience, and shines a spotlight on the many ways in which those on the fringes of American society play a major role in shaping our culture.
Since graduating from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts in 2014, she has established herself in the Atlanta film industry as a Production Coordinator on film and television projects for FX, Adult Swim, BET, and Turner Broadcasting. As a filmmaker, Inés strives to tell stories that are intimate and genuine, while considering perspectives that are often ignored in mainstream films.
